Admiration should not come from a place of stress.
Why are we impressed when someone is able to “make do”
with a situation that they don’t want to be in.
Admiration comes from a place of stress.
Never once has it been said,
“Your plate is empty, congratulations on your sanity.”
No one cares for your content, the more you can do, the more noble.
Admiration should come from a place of understanding.
I wish people would say,
“The choices you’ve made on behalf of your mental health are worthy of praise.”
The struggle is what we want to see over come, but not the side-effects of damaging your well-being.
